It is Restaurant week in Narragansett so all our favorites were booked. We decided to go and try this new place on the words of a few friends. The food was great, the service was a problem. Most of our party ordered off the restaurant week menu, the salad was as pictured nothing super fancy but generous with good greens, however it took over an hour to get our first course. I had veal with eggplant and cheese on top, it was tender and very tasty. The other guests enjoyed their meals as well including the clam chowder, the eggplant lasagna and the chicken florentine. We had a child with us who was hungry and the got out something for him quickly but were left without our water refilled, without any extra bread and without our plates cleared. When we inquired about our food for the second time (by a guy was was not the manager but acted like one) We were given a round of drinks, our food came out and we were able to leave. They seem to be still working their kinks out but hopefully the service will improve and they will make it.

Really disappointed, with the great opening reviews and the fact that its so close to home, I was very much looking forward to having found a new local spot. Kept our visit simple with an early evening dinner. A little antipasti, some pasta, and a sandwich. Not a one was on point. The Antipasti Platter, had its high points. A few wonderful slices of Parma Prosciutto, silky and rich, perfect no doubt. Kudos as well for the Capicola, marinated and stuffed cherry peppers, and pickled baby figs. Less successful choices included a slab of mozzarella, hardened chunks of Pecorino, whole sun dried tomatoes, and the lowest common denominator pepperoni. All together, just OK. The pasta didn't. The Farfalle Nazionale, well overcooked bowtie pasta tossed in a lackluster pesto cream sauce. It was supposed to taste of sundried tomato & basil, but mostly it had the flavor of a broken roux. The dish quickly grew worse, with the steamy hot sauce continuing to cook the pasta away, turning into an inedible goo. My Veal Parmesan Sandwich made a much better showing. The veal perfectly cooked, with a crisp panko crust, soft and moist flavorful veal waiting inside. The house-made Marinara was a touch sweet, but held a nice fresh tomato flavor. The sandwich was only let down by the bun. The bread was terribly plain. Rather than choose a hearty rustic roll, or sliced and toasted bread, instead I got the kind of bun Wonder would make. Bummer. I should have ordered the veal over pasta, or maybe given the pasta course, maybe not. Not a stellar night, not for me.

My boyfriend and I came in at 8 on a Friday night looking to have one espresso martini and leave. We sat down at the corner of the crowded bar and were greeted by an extremely friendly bartender. Everything was great-decent music, friendly service- until the older gentleman sitting to my left (who had 3 too many bud lights) finished his mussels and proceeded to shove his DIRTY dish in front of me. Politely and with a half-smile, I pushed it away. After pushing it away the 5th time I said that I don't his dirty dish in front of me and was then verbally attacked by him and the obnoxiously drunk women sitting next to him. One of them stuck her fat fingers in my face for 5 mins while a ignored and remained calm. The bartenders and owners were appalled and offered us a gift card however we DECLINED because on top of all of that nonsense the head cook was smoking BUTTS in front of the main door ... Tried this place while visiting my son at URI (conveniently located). All seven of us enjoyed our meals. We had a new waitress--she was very friendly, but slow. Would have given it 4 stars if her co workers helped out instead of standing around at the bar. Will try again.

We are visiting from Seattle and wanted some great Italian food. 300 North was suggested by friends and we were not disappointed in fact we were very surprised by the upscale look since it was connected to a Holiday Inn. The staff was right there to serve us and so helpful explaining the specials offered that evening. A big thanks to our server Matt for all he did to make our first (but not last) visit very enjoyable. Now to the wonderful food: Hubby had the salmon special that he was out of this world good. The salad he ordered with it could have been a meal in itself. I had the chicken piccata and it was absolutely amazing. Other members of the party had the veal parmigiana and the napoliano. Hearty helpings but hardly any leftovers as we wanted to lick the plates clean. Save room for dessert!! We had tarimiso and it was the best I have had. Thanks to owners Greig and Tim Pelleccoine for 300 North!

My wife and I used to dine here at least once a week when it was Lilliana's. It was never 5 star but food was ok. Service though particularly at the bar was always great. The previous owner, Dino, always made a point to great us and was a great host. Current owner does not even acknowledge us or welcome us. Came in tonight and sat at the bar. Owner was behind the bar and looked right through me. Not even a hello. Bartenders were frantic even though the place had few customers. Felt ignored and left. Too bad a good neighborhood establishment has gone so down hill.

My boyfriend and I went to dinner last night. It was absolutely delicious. We had the calamari ala mama for an appetizer, best calamari I've had in a long time. Then we both decided to get the shrimp and lobster fra diavolo for our entrees. It was absolutely amazing. The seafood was cooked perfectly, and there was a great kick to the sauce. I really wanted to try the cheesecake for dessert, but didn't have room. I had to settle for a espresso martini for dessert instead. We'll definitely be back again.
